Your First Visit

Arriving For Your First Visit at a pool site....

Please bring completed Client information and Waiver forms. You can download them here:

Client Information ( Word Doc | PDF); Waiver (Word Doc | PDF); Cancellation Policy ( Word Doc | PDF)
(we have forms on-site if needed)

(If we see you at an onsite Veterinarain Clinic/Hospital we just need YOU there---and your dog.  Maybe with a favorite toy or treat)

SAFETY RULES

All dogs must be SECURELY LEASHED at all times.
A dog off leash can lead to a number of safety problems (for themselves, other dogs and humans).

DO NOT APPROACH a dog without getting its handler's consent.
They may appear friendly; but we do not want to find out otherwise by a bad experience!!

CONSIDERATIONS... for swim appointments

All dogs must be THOROUGHLY BRUSHED.
We have a shedding blade for you to use if you are not able to brush at home. We ask you spend 20-30 minutes "brush time" prior to your appt. time. Keeping the pool as clean as possible helps keep your costs down, as pool maintenance is our greatest expense. We also ask that the dogs have been recently bathed.

A flea infested dog will be cancelled as the fleas will climb onto other swimmers. If there are any open wounds please discuss with the staff. Depending on the surgery we should be ready to swim as soon as the stitches are removed.

Please try to toilet your dog prior to your appointment!
Ask where it is appropriate onsite if you haven't been successful prior to arriving for your swim. We have doggie deposit bags should you need them! Be aware; dogs need to urinate quickly after their swim! Contrary to popular belief, they do not urinate in the pool.

POOP ALERT!!!!!!!
Each time a dog has a poop accident there is a $100 charge to decontaminate the pool water. We may have to cancel clients the rest of the scheduled day an incident happens. It is of utmost importance that a dog has pooped prior to their swim. (Make every effort to make this happen. If you know it is a problem consider skipping the morning feeding on swim day---one suggestion....for more ideas ask staff!)

All of your efforts are most appreciated!

PRICING

Initial session is $75 (This includes the phone consultation and 30 min swim). A review of current symptoms, history and diagnosis will be discussed along with other pertinent information.

Additional sessions: $60/session - 30 min. swim (If the dog needs "hands-on/manual techniques; assisted swimming/treadmill). If you pre-pay for a series of 6 sessions it is $330 ---$55/session.

Onsite at Veterinarian Clinic/Hospital

We just need YOU there--and your dog.

We find the dogs to be so much more relaxed if the owner is present; therefore we try to coordinate your "visit time" with our therapy time. It is good for you (the owner) to spend time going through the range of motion /stretching specifics, body mechanics (when moving a post-op dog ---keeping the spine aligned after spinal surgery), positioning suggestions (pillow/towel roll between the hind legs and/front legs to decrease the stress on the spine and joints), and reviewing therapeutic exercise programs for home follow up. It is also a great time to discuss specifics @ the surgical procedure and answer questions about your individual needs for early post-op care and management.

When doing modalities such as electrical stimulation, you can be assured by being there that your dog isn't having any adverse response to the treatment.

SCHEDULING:

Please confirm appointments by phone: 619-227-7802

We are on-site Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays by appointment only!
(Additional days may be available depending on staffing).

Note our 24 hour cancellation policy; all of our time is valuable. You will be charged for your session if you give less than a 24 hr. notice. We may be able to schedule an awaiting dog in your time slot with the 24 hr. notice. (We realize emergency situations occur and certainly will not charge under these circumstances)

Your dogs complete recovery is very inportant to us. Therefore, we encourage you to keep all scheduled appointments. Your dogs progress is dependent on consistant rehab sessions. Consistant appointments will have a significant impact on the recovery of your dog. We will make every effort to accomodate your schedule.
